The Monastery is 164 feet high and 148 feet wide. The trail going to the Monastery gains about 800 feet in elevation and will have about 850 steps going up. Part of the trail is gradual and other parts steep. The steep areas will have the steps. Donkeys can be ridden up and back down, but walking is much safer due to the loose rocks and sand on the trail.
