As your getting to the end of the Siq, almost a mile long, you get a view of the Al Khazneh more popularly known as THE TREASURY. The Treasury is 141 feet high and 98 1/2 feet wide. The Treasury was carved out of the sandstone cliff possibily as early as the 5th century BC by the Nabataeans. This view was used in the Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Petra was used by the caravans on the spice trade route.
