Greenland Sled dogs are a breed of there own and protected. It is prohibited to bring any dog into Greenland and if a Greenland Sled dog leaves the country, it is not allowed back in. Towns and villages, in Greenland, may have more dogs then people . The dogs are kept just outside of town and the area is referred to as DOG TOWN. The adults are chained, unless they are being trained or pulling a sled.
