Temple of Philae relocated to nearby Agikia Island in order to protect it from flooding when Aswan Dam was completed in 1970. This was a ten year project. Philae is believed to be the last active site of the native Egyptian Religion with the main deity being Isis. Original site dates back to 145 BC.
