Front of the mortuary complex with the Pyramid of Djoser on the right. The Pyramid of Djoser, a Step Pyramid, was built in the 27th Century BC for Pharaoh Djoser in the Saqqara necropolis just Northwest of Memphis.This was one of the first pyramids built having six levels of cut stone blocks and considered to be the earliest large scale cut stone construction. Djoser's advisor, Imhotep was the architect and engineer that built the Pyramid and believed to be one of the first known doctors, architects and engineers in History and the first known genuis. right.
