Great Wall & Ming Tombs
China-1703
One of the Defensive parts of the wall are the steps. The height of the steps vary from step to step, which made it difficult for the enemy to go up or down them should they get on the wall.
The Great Wall at Badaling is 43 miles north of Beijing and reported to be the best preserved section of the Great Wall built during the Qin Dynasty (221BC-206BC) and then rebuilt by the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). July 7, 2007 the Great Wall was listed as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World..
