Antelope Canyon 2650

Antelope CaLower Antelope Canyon is about 1,335 long and hundreds of feet deep in places. The Canyon is on the Navajo reservation and is known by the Navajo as the Hazdistazi, Spirit Rock Arches. The sun enters the canyon from the open top. The Navajo sandstone was carved and shaped by flashfloods and wind. Some of the canyon has a mixture of darker sandstone mixed in with the lighter colored stone. The Sun hits the sandstone highlighting the colors.
